Peer Review Process

The journal applies a single-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of submitted manuscripts. In this review system, the authors do not know the identities of the reviewers, while the reviewers know the identities of the authors.

Each manuscript is normally reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who have expertise relevant to the topic of the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, professional experience, and suitability to the manuscript’s subject area.

Before being sent to reviewers, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its suitability with the journal scope, compliance with the author guidelines and template, language quality, completeness of manuscript components, reference quality, and plagiarism screening result. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected before peer review.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, relevance to the journal scope, clarity of objectives, appropriateness of methodology, quality of analysis and discussion, validity of findings, contribution to engineering knowledge or practice, quality of references, and compliance with publication ethics.

After receiving reviewers’ comments, the editor will make one of the following decisions: accepted, accepted with revision, or rejected. Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments and may be asked to submit a response explaining how the comments have been addressed.

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection rests with the editor, based on reviewers’ recommendations, editorial assessment, and journal policy. All manuscripts, reviewer comments, and editorial decisions are handled confidentially throughout the review process.
