About the Journal
Scope
Buletin Profesi Insinyur publishes research-based articles and case studies that address challenges in engineering practice, including findings from laboratory experiments and field studies conducted by faculty members and engineering professionals. The journal covers topics such as:
- Application of methods to specific projects
- Modification of methods in planning and implementation of engineering works
- Case studies and engineering problem-solving
- Occupational health and safety (OHS)
- Engineering ethics and professional codes of conduct
- Project management
- Construction in wetland areas
- Procurement of engineering products and services
- Research with direct applications in engineering practice
- Engineering strategies to mitigate environmental impacts
- Employment and labor law in the engineering sector
All submitted articles must be original and previously unpublished in any format, whether in print or online.
Peer Review Process
All submitted articles must align with the journal's focus and scope and adhere to the author guidelines. Articles must also be free from plagiarism, and authors are encouraged to use plagiarism detection software before submission. The editorial team conducts plagiarism checks using Turnitin.
Each article undergoes a double-blind peer review by at least two expert reviewers, who are certified Professional Engineers or faculty members with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers provide comments and suggestions to improve the content and quality of submissions.
The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief, considering the reviewers' feedback, submission order, geographical diversity, and thematic relevance.
Publication Frequency
Buletin Profesi Insinyur (BPI) is published by Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII).
Since 2020, BPI follows a biannual publication schedule, with issues released in:
- January – June
- July – December
This flexible publishing schedule accommodates Indonesian engineers and faculty members, facilitating the publication of their research findings as part of their professional responsibilities.
Additionally, special issues may be published in collaboration with PII, featuring selected papers from national and international engineering seminars.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to all its content under the principle that making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
